Dr. Joshua Mark joined Rockwall Surgical Specialists in 2020. He offers a broad array of surgical interventions, including surgery for hernia repairs, gastroesophageal reflux, gallbladder, colorectal, weight loss, and many others. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques including advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Mark received his undergraduate training at the University of Kansas, majoring in Spanish. While living abroad, he completed an advanced course in Medical Spanish and speaks Spanish fluently. He attended medical school at the University of Kansas before making his way to Dallas, Texas, to complete a general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center. His broad training experience in the DFW area afforded him the opportunity to care for and better understand the needs of a diverse patient population.
Throughout his training, he received numerous awards including Intern of the Year and completed multiple publications in the field of trauma and acute care surgery. He also attended multiple advanced robotic training courses to further his abilities as a minimally invasive surgeon.
In his free time, Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Katelyn, and his children, Olivia, Ryland, and Wesley. He is also passionate about cooking, woodworking, and spending time outdoors.
